Junior Treble Maker Show Choir
By popular demand! Young children may also experience an ensemble group to begin their experiences with intonation and blending in a group all while singing fun, upbeat selections with simple choreography. Basic music skills are introduced in this course.

String Ensembles
String ensembles include violins, violas, cellos and string bass. Students come together to make music with other students of the same level. Students will learn to follow a conductor and play together as an ensemble. Performance, sight reading, intonation, theory and interpersonal skills will be focused on, all while studying a variety of musical styles and genres from all over the world.

Guitar Classes
Students will become proficient in solo playing, chord accompaniment and chord melody style. Solid musicianship skills are developed by exposure to the many styles in today’s musical world. Students with a basic background in guitar will gain a basic knowledge of the fundamentals of chords and scales. Universal musical terms and basic music theory will be incorporated through simple melodies and common chord progressions. Student is responsible for providing own guitar and equipment.

Rhythm/Percussion Class
Designed to introduce drumming and percussion techniques to varied ages and ability levels. Rhythmic instruments help to establish listening within a group, strengthen time awareness and encourage consistency. Musicianship skills are developed by exposing and participating in group drumming styles of Brazil, West Africa, and the Caribbean.

Theory Class
For all ages of listeners and performers wanting a better understanding of music language. Receive 25% off this course if student is enrolled in any other class or private lesson. There are three levels of theory classes to meet individual student needs.
| Beginning |
Learn basic foundation of the grand staff, note reading and ledger lines. Includes study of pitch, note values, basic time signatures, ties and slurs, along with dynamics, tempo markings and articulation. Offers understanding of flats, sharps, naturals, whole steps, half steps and accidentals. Learn about scales, chords, melody, harmony and chord progression.

Gain knowledge of scale and chord formulation, relationships between major and minor keys, chromatic scales and intervals (perfect, major, minor, augmented and diminished). Learn about the circle of fifths, solfege, transposition, common time and cut time, syncopation, triads, scale degrees and dominant 7th chords.

Includes triads & inversions, V7 chords, major & minor chord progressions, minor scales, natural, harmonic & melodic minor scales, augmented & diminished triads, modes related to major & minor scale, harmonizing, broken chords vs. arpeggiated chords, blues chords & scales, motives & phrases, and forms of music.
