Our approach is unique

Children’s Music Academy specializes in teaching music to children in a fun, positive, non-pressured and lively classroom setting. In this emotionally comfortable environment, children have the freedom to love and appreciate music, while developing fundamental musical skills that will last a lifetime. Research has revealed that children’s ears are most receptive to musical training between the ages of three and six. As a result, it is preferable to begin a child’s musical experience/education during those formative years, because his/her “ear for music” will be more highly developed than a child who begins later. This provides a strong foundation for continued development of his/her musical skills.

Our curriculum is proven

The curriculum was first utilized in Southern California in 1974. Since then, CMA has specialized in quality music education, benefiting thousands of young children. The carefully written and updated curriculum focuses on age-appropriate activities, which are designed to develop lifelong musical appreciation and aptitude. Our courses cover the beginning levels of musicianship and are age appropriate, sequential and cumulative.

Our atmosphere is inviting

Classes meet 50 minutes per week in a small-group setting. The fun and supportive environment naturally draws children into the learning activities. Activities are fast-paced; incorporate games, songs, dances, and ensemble playing; and involve a variety of musical instruments. Parents actively participate with their child. Classes are offered at a variety of convenient times, throughout the week.
